Dental Implants With PRF and CGF
Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) / Concentrated Growth Factors (CGF)
: Advanced Regenerative Care
At Brian Dental Care, we combine dental implant treatment with advanced regenerative techniques such as platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) and concentrated growth factors (CGF). Prepared from a small amount of the patient’s own blood, PRF and CGF contain fibrin, platelets, and naturally occurring growth factors that may support the body’s healing process around the treatment area.
Supporting Dental Implant Healing
Healthy bone and gum tissue are important for the stability and long-term success of dental implants. When clinically appropriate, Dr. Brian Kim may incorporate PRF or CGF into implant placement, tooth extractions, bone grafting, sinus lifts, ridge augmentation, and soft-tissue grafting.
Depending on the procedure and the patient’s individual needs, PRF or CGF may help:
-
Support bone and soft-tissue healing
-
Promote healthy gum tissue around the treatment area
-
Support early healing around the implant site
-
Help reduce postoperative swelling and discomfort
-
Promote a smoother recovery following oral surgery
-
Complement bone-grafting and soft-tissue-grafting procedures
Dr. Kim will determine whether PRF/CGF is appropriate based on your individual needs and treatment plan.
An Experienced Dental Implantologist
Dr. Brian Kim is an experienced dental implantologist who has provided dental implant treatment since 2002 and has incorporated PRF and CGF regenerative techniques into patient care since 2008.
As an early adopter of these techniques in dentistry, Dr. Kim has extensive experience incorporating regenerative care into dental implant and oral-surgery procedures.
Dedicated to continued education and excellence in implant dentistry, Dr. Kim has earned Fellowship status with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), an organization focused on education and advancement in dental implant care.
How PRF and CGF Work
When the body experiences an injury or undergoes surgery, platelets release growth factors and signaling proteins that play an important role in the natural healing process. PRF and CGF concentrate these components within a fibrin matrix so they can be applied directly to the treatment area.
During treatment, a small amount of the patient’s blood is drawn and processed in a centrifuge. The resulting fibrin material may be placed over the surgical site as a natural membrane or combined with bone-grafting material, depending on the procedure.
Because PRF and CGF are prepared from the patient’s own blood, they are biocompatible and have a low risk of allergic reaction. They may help support early healing and reduce postoperative discomfort, although each patient’s healing experience is different.
Advanced Implant Care Personalized to You
Dr. Kim carefully plans each dental implant procedure based on the patient’s oral health, bone structure, gum condition, and treatment goals. His experience with dental implants, bone grafting, soft-tissue grafting, and PRF and CGF techniques allows him to provide precise, personalized care throughout the treatment process.
At Brian Dental Care, our goal is to provide advanced, science-based implant care that supports healing, long-term oral health, and confident smiles.
